Deck overview

This deck is a classic Temur Dragon tribal strategy centered on Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm. The primary plan focuses on spending the early turns accelerating mana using artifacts, land ramp spells, and cost reducers like Dragonlord's Servant and Sarkhan, Soul Aflame. Once Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm enters the battlefield on turn 4 or 5, every subsequent nontoken Dragon spell generates an immediate nonlegendary token copy. This duplication rapidly scales board presence, triggering card draw engines like Temur Ascendancy and Elemental Bond while activating direct-damage threats like Terror of the Peaks and Dragon Tempest. The deck closes games around turn 7 through massive aerial combat amplified by Atarka, World Render and Utvara Hellkite. While the commander's ward {2} offers baseline protection against single-target removal, the strategy remains vulnerable to mass sweepers due to a low density of dedicated counterspells.
