Format: Commander

Commander: Helga, Skittish Seer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helga, Skittish Seer is the mana engine of a Bant creature-value deck built to chain high-mana-value creatures. The deck grows Helga with +1/+1 counters so her tap ability produces multiple mana, then uses that mana to cast 4+ MV and X-spell creatures, drawing cards and growing her further. Secondary plans include a counter-doubling beatdown package with Kalonian Hydra and Zimone, Paradox Sculptor, and a 'big spells' engine with Monstrous Vortex and Up the Beanstalk. There is no double-faced commander or single true hidden commander; Zimone functions as the closest thing to a secondary engine. Finishes come from Overwhelming Stampede or Ghalta and Mavren tokens.
