Deck overview

Evelyn, the Covetous commands a Grixis Vampire tribal deck that pairs mid-range tribal aggression and card theft with a decisive infinite lifegain and life-loss combo finish. The primary game plan revolves around deploying early Vampires to trigger Evelyn's collection ability, stealing cards from opponents' libraries and generating steady card advantage without expending hand resources. Universal tutors such as Demonic Tutor, Grim Tutor, and Wishclaw Talisman efficiently bridge into the deck's primary win condition: pairing a damage-to-lifegain engine (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) with a lifegain-to-damage outlet (Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest). Once assembled on Turn 6, any instance of combat damage or lifelink initiates an instant-speed infinite drain loop that eliminates all three opponents in zero response cycles. Backed by resilient tribal reanimation like Patriarch's Bidding and disruptive resets like Keldon Firebombers, the deck transitions seamlessly from value generation to a lethal finish.
