Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is a Treasure-focused aristocrat and burn engine commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The strategy accelerates on early turns with cheap mana rocks and Treasure generators to deploy Smaug by Turn 4. Once in play, Smaug converts opposing artifact counts into a burst of Treasure tokens and turns every subsequent spell cast with Treasure mana into a cantrip. The deck converts artifact creation and sacrifices into direct damage using pingers like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Master, Reckless Fireweaver, and Ingenious Artillerist. With cards like Brass's Bounty, Goldspan Dragon, and Xorn, the deck quickly scales mana and card advantage, turning bursts of token creation into sudden, lethal life drain across all three opponents simultaneously.
