Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Orzhov Angel Reanimator and Aristocrats deck commanded by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The strategy revolves around leveraging Shilgengar's zero-mana sacrifice ability to convert high-toughness Angels into large quantities of Blood tokens. Once six Blood tokens are generated, Shilgengar activates at instant speed to return all creatures from the graveyard directly onto the battlefield. Reanimated Angel payloads like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Righteous Valkyrie, and Angel of Despair generate immediate board dominance, massive life totals, and permanent destruction. The deck circumvents finality counter drawbacks using synergies like Solemnity and Thief of Blood. In addition to overwhelming aerial combat and aristocrat drain via Mirkwood Bats and Blood Artist, the deck features a compact backup win condition in the Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond infinite combo. Dense ramp, graveyard tutors, and stax elements provide reliable execution and resilience across games.
