Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Group Slug and Combo build commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The strategy focuses on establishing early passive life-loss permanents like Roiling Vortex, Kederekt Parasite, and Stormfist Crusader, which trigger Valgavoth on each opponent's turn to draw 3 extra cards per rotation while growing the commander into a formidable airborne threat. This card velocity quickly fuels mana development and digs into black tutors to assemble the infinite two-card combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. To protect its setup, the deck runs efficient red and black redirection spells such as Bolt Bend, Imp's Mischief, and Chef's Kiss, alongside uncounterable Split Second lines enabled by Shadow the Hedgehog. Opponents face continuous chip damage, lifegain denial, and sudden lethal drain loops that close the game decisively.
