Deck overview

This mono-black Commander deck is built around Chainer, Dementia Master, focusing on reanimator strategies, asymmetric attrition, and big-mana payoffs. The deck aims to quickly put game-ending creature threats into the graveyard using cards like Buried Alive, Final Parting, and Lively Dirge, then reanimate them ahead of curve with spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Necromancy. Once assembled, bomb creatures such as Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Rottenmouth Viper create immediate must-answer board states that strip opponents of resources while advancing your own board. The deck controls the pace of the game through dense, efficient removal and edict effects, eventually finishing opponents with scaling combat damage, Syr Konrad, the Grim drain triggers, or mass reanimation via Rise of the Dark Realms.
