Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck is led by Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor, a low-cost commander who rapidly accumulates ingenuity counters whenever you draw your first or second card each turn. The deck leverages an ultra-dense suite of 1-mana cantrips, baubles, and recurring draw engines like Rhystic Study and The One Ring to charge Lady Octopus on your turns and opponents' turns alike. Once charged to 4–8 counters by Turn 4, she taps to cheat colossal artifacts directly onto the battlefield without paying mana. Cheated payoffs include game-ending beaters like Blightsteel Colossus, board-wiping attrition engines like Portal to Phyrexia, and punishing stax pieces like God-Pharaoh's Statue. Supported by resilient token generators such as Simulacrum Synthesizer and Cyberdrive Awakener, the deck swiftly translates explosive mana velocity and massive board presence into an overwhelming victory, while protecting its assets with efficient counterspells and redirection tools.
