Deck overview

This Boros Equipment deck is commanded by Nahiri, Forged in Fury, built to convert low-cost Equipment into rapid mana velocity and explosive card advantage. By deploying cheap artifacts early, the deck casts Nahiri ahead of curve through affinity and cheats expensive Equipment directly onto the battlefield from exile. The strategy revolves around equipping evasive or double-striking creatures with heavy hitters like Colossus Hammer, Kaldra Compleat, and Nettlecyst. Equip costs are mitigated using Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist. A versatile Sunforger package gives the deck flexible access to targeted removal like Swords to Plowshares and protective spells like Boros Charm and Deflecting Swat. The deck achieves critical combat onset by Turn 5 and eliminates opponents in sequential combats by Turn 7.
