Deck overview

This Gruul deck is led by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade and focuses entirely on the modified mechanic by combining +1/+1 counters, Auras, and Equipment. The early game establishes ramp through efficient 1-to-2-CMC enchantments and mana creatures, allowing Chishiro to land ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, playing low-cost Auras and Equipment triggers Chishiro to spawn 2/2 menace Spirits while simultaneously placing +1/+1 counters across the board on every end step. The deck accelerates into the mid-game with scaling threats like Halana and Alena, Partners, Champion of Lambholt, and Kalonian Hydra, which translate wide boards into unblockable or trample-heavy damage. While vulnerable to non-destruction sweepers and low on instant-speed interaction, the deck presents consistent combat velocity and strong autonomous backup lines.
