Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck is built entirely around Kona, Rescue Beastie and its Survival ability, which puts any permanent card from hand directly onto the battlefield during the second main phase if Kona is tapped. The strategy accelerates Kona onto the board by Turn 3 or 4, utilizes non-combat tap utilities like Springleaf Drum, Relic of Legends, and Thunderous Velocipede (or safe attacks) to tap Kona immediately, and bypasses casting costs on colossal threats including Worldspine Wurm, Galactus, Devourer of Worlds, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger. Once the first wave of giants lands on Turn 4, the deck compounds board dominance with power-based card draw engines and trample enablers, closing the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 7. Efficient 1-mana protection spells shield Kona during crucial setup turns.
