Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Xyris, the Writhing Storm is the primary engine, converting one combat hit into a growing Snake swarm and a large hand. The deck ramps to Xyris early, protects the first attack with Lightning Greaves or a counterspell, then uses Teferi's Ageless Insight and Nerd Rage to turn a single hit into twenty-plus cards in hand. That hand triggers Twenty-Toed Toad's attack-trigger win, with Xyris commander damage and the Snake horde as backup. Birthing Pod, Chord of Calling, and Fauna Shaman find the needed pieces. The deck is combat-dependent and has no infinite combo; the attraction/sticker subtheme is mostly inert without an Attraction deck. Overall it is a draw-and-swing deck that tries to win through a hidden Toad finish.
