Da Bears by bigp22

Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green Bear tribal stompy list helmed by Beorn the Fierce. Beorn is a five-mana 6/6 trampler who anthems other Bears, turns one creature into a Bear each combat, and draws two cards once three Bears are in play. The 99 backs that plan with dedicated Bears (Ayula, Queen Among Bears, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Surrak and Goreclaw, Gigantic Big Bear), changelings, and token engines (Dancing from Dark to Dawn, The Earth King, Springleaf Parade). Cheap dorks and land auras aim to land Beorn on turn three or four, after which the deck slams haymakers like Ghalta, Primal Hunger and the power-doublers Unnatural Growth and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. There are no infinite combos; every win is combat damage through trample. Beorn is the best draw engine and the tribal glue, but the 99 is still a complete green beatdown deck if he is removed.
