Deck overview

This is an Izzet combo-control deck built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun. The commander is the primary engine and becomes lethal with Curiosity or, less efficiently, Ophidian Eye. The deck uses a large package of cantrips, rummage effects, counterspells, and two-mana rocks to reach six mana and locate the aura. Once the commander and Curiosity are assembled, any instant or sorcery starts an unlimited draw-and-damage loop. The ordinary plan is not a cEDH-speed line: the aura is difficult to tutor directly, colored mana requirements are high, and protection is not consistently available with the combo. Its best feature is that the actual kill is compact and finishes all three opponents in the same turn as onset. Outside the combo, Narset, Parter of Veils, Mystic Remora, Archmage Emeritus, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and The Locust God provide useful value, but they do not replace the commander-aura kill reliably.
