Jin New Aura and Lotus Petal by KluckDynasty

Format: Commander

Commander: Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Esper deck is a hybrid combat-control strategy helmed by Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima, a 3-mana commander that draws a card on combat damage and grants a lone attacker double strike or unblockability. The primary game plan is to deploy a single evasive threat, suit it up with equipment or auras, and leverage Jin's ability to turbo-charge combat triggers. The deck also packs a compact Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation combo as a backup instant win. A dense tutor suite (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Stoneforge Mystic) and powerful draw engines (Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, Smothering Tithe) ensure the deck finds its pieces quickly. The secondary combat path uses half-life effects (Virtus the Veiled, Quietus Spike, Unstoppable Slasher) and infect (Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, Grafted Exoskeleton) to close out games. The commander's card draw and flexibility make it a resilient value engine, but the deck can function without it thanks to redundant combo lines in the 99.
