maralen by Brassmunkey

Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant is the deck's sole commander and main engine: every entering Elf or Faerie exiles two cards from an opponent and increases the free-cast mana-value ceiling. The primary plan is to assemble a wide Elf/Faerie battlefield with dorks, lords, and token makers, using Maralen's free casts as card advantage. Secondary paths are go-wide poison damage with Triumph of the Hordes, trample pump with Overwhelming Stampede, and two self-contained wins: Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood and Imperious Perfect + Intruder Alarm. Ezuri, Claw of Progress is a strong secondary engine, but there is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Maralen, Fae Ascendant.
