Format: Commander

Commander: Haldan, Avid Arcanist and Pako, Arcane Retriever

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is built to maximize Pako, Arcane Retriever. It drops Pako early, attacks each turn to exile four cards and grow him, then uses Haldan, Avid Arcanist to cast the exiled noncreature spells and lands. The primary win is repeated commander damage through extra combat and untap engines (Aggravated Assault plus Bear Umbra or Druids' Repository/Selvala), with Karlach and Moraug providing backup extra combats. Cast-from-exile payoffs like Faldorn, Stolen Strategy, Wild-Magic Sorcerer, and Passionate Archaeologist generate card advantage and burn. The mana base is smooth and fast, with Haldan serving mainly as a post-combat value engine rather than the focus.
