Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control build centered on Sensational Spider-Man, leveraging tapping mechanics and stun counters to lock down opposing boards while generating compounding card advantage. The strategy uses low-cost tap-on-entry stax pieces like Blind Obedience and Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior to restrict opposing blockers and aggressive lines. Once Sensational Spider-Man attacks, it freezes key threats and converts stun counters into steady card draw. The deck transitions into a decisive board presence via payoffs such as Hylda of the Icy Crown and Rhoda, Geist Avenger, producing massive token swarms and lethal combat threats against incapacitated defenders. Supported by a robust suite of efficient countermagic and protection spells like Dawn's Truce and Flawless Maneuver, the list maintains board stability through opponent turns. While vulnerable to noncreature combo strategies and mass enchantment removal, its high card velocity and persistent creature suppression deliver consistent mid-game inevitability.
