Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-matters aggressive deck commanded by Arcades, the Strategist. It leverages low-cost defender creatures that double as card draw engines and undercosted combat beaters. Early turns focus on deploying mana dorks, ramp artifacts, and efficient walls like Wall of Omens and Overgrown Battlement. Once Arcades enters on turn 4, every subsequent defender replaces itself while attacking with its full toughness. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat damage from high-toughness threats like The Walls of Ba Sing Se or an alternate two-card mill win condition using Painter's Servant and Grindstone. A suite of counterspells, protection instants, and creature-disabling auras protects the board and neutralizes opposing threats.
