Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir control and attrition engine commanded by Toxrill, the Corrosive. The primary strategy focuses on accelerating mana rapidly in the opening turns using efficient rocks and rituals, casting Toxrill ahead of curve on Turn 5. Once deployed, Toxrill immediately warps the game by placing slime counters on every creature opponents control at the beginning of each end step. This rapidly shrinks and destroys opposing boards while generating a swarm of 1/1 Slug tokens. The deck converts these tokens into overwhelming card advantage, mana, and life drain through cards like Skullclamp, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and The Meathook Massacre. Alternate synergies with Maha, Its Feathers Night and instant-speed stat reducers like Sudden Spoiling create instantaneous asymmetric board wipes. Backed by a dense suite of cheap countermagic and dedicated protection spells, the deck locks opponents out of creature-based game plans before closing the game via Revel in Riches, aristocrat drain, or combat.
