Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Temur creature deck commanded by Animar, Soul of Elements. The strategy centers on leveraging Animar's cost-reduction ability to flood the board with clone creatures such as Phyrexian Metamorph, Spark Double, and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. By stacking +1/+1 counters on Animar, generic mana costs on creatures drop toward zero, enabling explosive multi-creature turns. Card advantage engines like Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, and Temur Ascendancy refill the hand with every creature cast, allowing the deck to dig through its library rapidly. The deck closes games through massive commander combat damage granted trample by Garruk's Uprising or Kessig Wolf Run, an overloaded Cyclonic Rift, or an infinite mana loop using Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake. Innate protection from white and black grants Animar natural resilience against the format's most common spot removal spells.
