Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari aristocrats and reanimator strategy commander by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The deck pairs dense early acceleration from mana dorks with efficient creature tutors and sacrifice outlets. During early turns, it deploys ramp and fills the graveyard with utility creatures such as Haywire Mite, Sakura-Tribe Elder, and Accursed Marauder. Once Meren enters on Turn 3 or 4, it leverages persistent experience counters to establish a recurring attrition engine, sweeping opposing boards with repeated edicts and Grave Pact triggers. The primary proactive win condition centers on resolving and sacrificing Protean Hulk, which fetches a multi-step chain through Phyrexian Delver, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, and Walking Ballista to deal lethal damage to all opponents in a single turn. Supporting protection like Sylvan Safekeeper and dense recursion ensure strong resilience against conventional removal.
