Deck overview

This deck is a Bant Stax and Superfriends control strategy led by Feroz, Ulgrotha's Warden. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana on Turns 1 and 2 into asymmetric stax anchors on Turn 3, such as Rule of Law, Archon of Emeria, and Drannith Magistrate. By capping all players to one spell per turn, the deck strangles opposing combo and tempo lines while completely breaking parity through planeswalker loyalty abilities and Feroz's 0 ability, which places permanents directly onto the battlefield without casting them. As opponents struggle against heavy taxing and spell limits, the deck deploys compounding value engines like Oath of Teferi, Captain Sisay, and Doubling Season. The game is decisively closed on Turns 6 to 8 either by executing an absolute spellcasting hard lock with Jace, Unraveler of Secrets's emblem under Rule of Law, casting and rapidly digging into Approach of the Second Sun, or overrunning the table with evasion tokens.
