The Eagles by EPB5090

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue flyers tempo deck that uses The Lord of the Eagles as a giant finisher, often cast for as little as {U}{U} once your board of flying creatures is established. The deck ramps little, but compensates with cheap evasive creatures, card draw, and counterspells. The primary plan is to deploy early fliers, protect them with bounce/counters, and then drop The Lord of the Eagles to close the game in two or three hits. Secondary paths include beating down with numerous flyers and using big artifact creatures like Ancient Silver Dragon or Triplicate Titan. The commander's cost reduction is the engine, and the deck is built to cast it as early as turn 5-6.
