Smaug’s Splendor by Bundy_Colosseum

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is a seven-mana Rakdos commander with flying, indestructible, haste, and a unique ability that creates Treasure tokens whenever it takes noncombat damage. The primary strategy revolves around accelerating into Smaug using fast mana and rituals, then dealing noncombat damage to Smaug with burn spells, board wipes like Blasphemous Act, or repeating engines like Pestilence and Pyrohemia. These self-damaging effects produce enormous bursts of Treasure tokens. The deck converts this sudden wealth into immediate victory through devastating mana sinks such as Crackle with Power and Exsanguinate, or through token drain effects like Mirkwood Bats and Reckless Fireweaver.
