Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-green cost-cheating stompy strategy led by Kona, Rescue Beastie. The primary game plan accelerates Kona onto the battlefield on Turn 3, using low-cost tap enablers such as Springleaf Drum, Paradise Mantle, Citanul Stalwart, and utility lands to tap Kona even with summoning sickness. At the beginning of the second main phase, Kona's Survival ability cheats massive game-ending permanents directly from hand onto the battlefield. Threats like Portal to Phyrexia, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant establish crushing board and mana advantages early. Powerful card draw spells like Greater Good, Vaultborn Tyrant, and Rishkar's Expertise replenish the hand, ensuring a steady stream of monsters. The deck closes out games through overwhelming combat damage amplified by Craterhoof Behemoth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and Akroma's Memorial.
