Deck overview

This deck is a casual Mardu combat midrange list commanded by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. It focuses on doubling triggered abilities that trigger whenever creatures attack. The deck leverages beaters and utility creatures such as Inquisitorial Rosette, Primaris Chaplain, Inferno Titan, and Sun Titan to generate tokens, apply pressure, and recur small permanents. Because it runs an unusually lean land count of 31 lands with minimal ramp, the deck experiences significant mana friction when attempting to deploy its expensive top end. Its interaction suite leans heavily into single-target creature removal like Terminate and Bitter Downfall, while lacking stack interaction, mass protection, and burst card draw. Without infinite combos or extra combat steps, it relies strictly on fair, attrition-based combat to close out games.
