Smaug, Wicked Worm

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm commands an aggressive Rakdos artifact engine that turns opponent board states into personal treasure troves. The deck builds immediate resource advantages by capitalizing on opposing mana rocks and artifacts, scaling up quickly to cast Smaug and establish an enduring draw engine. Victory is achieved through multiple non-infinite avenues: burning opponents out with aristocrat effects like Marionette Apprentice, Mirkwood Bats, and Mayhem Devil as treasures are cracked; swinging with massive evasive Dragons like Ancient Copper Dragon and Cavern-Hoard Dragon; or executing an alternate win condition via Hellkite Tyrant upkeep triggers after stockpiling twenty artifacts.
