Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Angel tribal and aristocrat reanimator strategy commander by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The early game focuses on deploying efficient Angel threats like Giada, Font of Hope, Bishop of Wings, and Youthful Valkyrie while establishing steady mana and card velocity through pieces like Black Market Connections and Esper Sentinel. Once Shilgengar enters the battlefield on Turn 5, its free sacrifice ability converts high-toughness Angels into massive stockpiles of Blood tokens while filling the graveyard with high-impact creatures. On Turn 6, Shilgengar spends three mana and six Blood tokens to mass-reanimate every creature from the graveyard simultaneously. This sudden influx of flying threats, augmented by lords like Lyra Dawnbringer and drain triggers from The Meathook Massacre or Blood Artist, creates an overwhelming board presence that systematically eliminates the table over two combat rotations.
