Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange strategy led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, focused on +1/+1 counters, proliferation, and combat-driven value. The plan deploys efficient early creatures and counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, and Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte, transitioning into repeatable card advantage and board growth through Tidus's Cheer ability. As counters multiply across the board via proliferate engines like Evolution Sage, Bloated Contaminator, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, the deck transitions into lethal combat pressure using evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams, Abzan Falconer, and Chocobo Knights. Resilient protection spells like Ripples of Potential and Inspiring Call safeguard key assets against opposing sweepers. While the deck lacks fast combo finishes, its compounding stat growth and unblockable combat steps steadily close out games by turns 7–8.
