Calamity by KingLouie

Format: Commander

Commander: Calamity, Galloping Inferno

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 18

Deck overview

The deck uses Calamity, Galloping Inferno as a hasty combat engine. A creature saddles it, then its attack creates two temporary copies of that creature. The strongest supported line uses Terror of the Peaks: the copies deal 15 entry damage, followed by 14 combat damage. This creates a strong turn-7 attack but does not kill a full table. Repeated attacks can eliminate opponents around turn 10 if Terror of the Peaks and Calamity, Galloping Inferno survive. The deck supports this plan with mana rocks, Treasures, creature tutors, extra combats, and damage payoffs such as Scourge of Valkas and Pyrogoyf. Its main weaknesses are narrow access to the required creature pair, modest card flow, and prolonged exposure after the first attack. It has functional removal and some protection, but not enough to operate like a competitive Commander deck.
