Deck overview

Rendmaw, Creaking Nest leads a Golgari goad and artifact token strategy designed to turn symmetrical gifts into lethal board states. The deck leverages cards with two or more card types—primarily artifact creatures, artifact lands, and kindred spells—to trigger Rendmaw repeatedly. Each trigger creates a 2/2 black Bird token for every player, but forces opposing Birds to attack other players permanently. This continuous goad drains opponent life totals and removes potential blockers. Meanwhile, the deck breaks symmetry with powerful drain and draw engines. Blood Seeker penalizes opponents for receiving tokens, Pygmy Kavu draws massive hands against opposing black Bird swarms, and Massacre Wurm converts opposing bird armies into fatal life loss. When ready to close the game, Natural Order searches for Craterhoof Behemoth or Massacre Wurm to finish off weakened opponents. Backed by recursion engines like Scrap Trawler and Glissa, the Traitor, the deck maintains steady pressure throughout the game.
