Deck overview

This Golgari deck is helmed by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, focusing on goad mechanics, multi-type card synergies, and symmetric token generation turned asymmetric. By casting a dense package of low-cost artifact and enchantment creatures, the deck repeatedly triggers Rendmaw to distribute goaded 2/2 flying Birds to all players. Opponents are forced into combat against one another, whittling down their life totals while preserving your own life total. Once life totals are depleted, the deck capitalizes on mass token deaths and wide boards using devastating punishers like Massacre Wurm, Wing Storm, Blood Artist, and Culling Ritual. While the list excels at sustained combat pressure and mana ramp, its reliance on natural draws for key finishers and lack of instant-speed protection require careful timing against heavy removal and combo decks.
