Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger and life-drain midrange strategy commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The game plan revolves around accelerating in the early turns, establishing Y'shtola, and chaining noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to drain opponents for 2 damage per trigger while gaining life and drawing extra cards. The deck leverages high-synergy Final Fantasy XIV legendary creatures such as Alisaie Leveilleur, Alphinaud Leveilleur, Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, and Emet-Selch of the Third Seat to reduce spell costs, flood the board with evasive tokens, and recur critical cards from the graveyard. It features a robust interaction package with flexible answers like Void Rend, Snuff Out, and Cleansing Nova to control opposing boards while slowly closing out the game with cumulative burn, wide token combat, or a large Exsanguinate.
