Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Aristocrats and go-wide token strategy helmed by the partner pair Joel, Resolute Survivor and Ellie, Brick Master. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration and casting Ellie to incite combat across the table, generating Cordyceps Infected tokens whenever players attack your opponents. Once Joel enters the battlefield, every dying token fuels steady card draw and builds commander power. The deck transitions into the midgame by scaling token production with powerhouses like Tendershoot Dryad, Avenger of Zendikar, and Chatterfang, Squirrel General. Sacrifice outlets such as Phyrexian Altar and Ashnod's Altar convert wide token boards into mana while triggering lethal aristocrat payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist, and Zulaport Cutthroat. Backed by a versatile removal suite and a compact infinite combo in Chatterfang and Pitiless Plunderer, the deck overwhelms the table through relentless attrition and wide combat swings.
