Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov midrange hatebear and attrition control deck commanded by Kambal, Consul of Allocation. Its primary strategy revolves around establishing early taxing permanents to suppress fast combo, storm, and graveyard strategies while developing steady mana and card flow. The deck uses stax pieces like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Deafening Silence, Trinisphere, and Rest in Peace to slow opponents to an incremental pace. Meanwhile, engines such as Bitterblossom, Skullclamp, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician generate steady card advantage and token presence. The deck closes games through sustained combat pressure from Grave Titan and tokens, augmented by life drain triggers from Blood Artist, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and large mana sinks like Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless. With deep tutor access and versatile removal, it excels at grinding out multiplayer games through methodical resource denial.
