Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy led by The Emperor of Palamecia. The game plan revolves around casting noncreature spells with mana value 4 or greater to accumulate +1/+1 counters on the commander. Once transformed into The Lord Master of Hell, it attacks to trigger Starfall, dealing direct damage to every opponent equal to the number of noncreature, nonland cards in the graveyard. A supporting cast of burn payoffs, such as Fiery Inscription, Tellah, Great Sage, and Thunderdrum Soloist, adds incremental table-wide damage with every spell cast. The deck supplements its burn engine with versatile bounce and countermagic to disrupt key opposing threats while stocking the graveyard. Although it lacks fast combo finishes or heavy stax elements, the deck presents an inevitable burn clock once its graveyard is loaded and its damage triggers compound.
