Deck overview

This deck is a four-color 'toughness matters' combat engine commanded by Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper and Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker. It turns inexpensive, high-toughness defenders like Charix, the Raging Isle, Wall of Denial, and The Pride of Hull Clade into devastating offensive beaters using 7 redundant 'butt-fight' enablers like Arcades, the Strategist, Assault Formation, and Doran, Besieged by Time. Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper weaponizes these massive toughness stats into immense bursts of life gain, buffering the pilot's life total and fueling alternate win conditions like Aetherflux Reservoir. The deck maintains steady board control using asymmetric tools like Meekstone and Expel the Interlopers, which punish high-power threats while leaving the deck's low-power defenders untouched. Supported by efficient countermagic, board protection, and evasion enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, the deck consistently closes games through heavy combat damage by Turn 7.
