Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir flash-control strategy led by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It focuses on casting spells during opponents' turns to generate an evasive army of 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue tokens. Dealing combat damage with these Faeries triggers Alela's ability to goad opposing creatures, deflecting attacks away from you and forcing opponents into combat with one another. Coastal Piracy effects such as Enduring Curiosity, Bident of Thassa, and Kindred Discovery convert evasive hits into massive card advantage, keeping your hand stocked with cheap counterspells and spot removal. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through mass combat buffs like Candlekeep Inspiration, token duplication via Notorious Throng, or steady life drain from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Faerie Tauntings.
