Deck overview

This is an Esper "spellslinger drain" deck built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The core plan is to cast Y'shtola, then fire off as many 3+ mana noncreature spells as possible - ideally at instant speed on opponents' end steps - to drain each opponent for 2 and gain 2 life per trigger. The deck multiplies that effect by copying Y'shtola with Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic, Multiversal Recruitment, and Quantum Misalignment, turning a single spell into 4-6 damage to each opponent. The end-step draw condition (a player lost 4+ life) turns the drain into a card-draw engine, and a suite of draw pieces - Alphinaud Leveilleur, Valeria Richards, Precocious, Black Market Connections, Decorum Dissertation - keeps the hand full. Bolas's Citadel is the primary accelerator/finisher, chaining spells off the top. The deck wins through attrition and table-wide drain rather than combat or combo.
