Deck overview

This is a mono-blue Merfolk token-control deck built around Namor the Sub-Mariner. The primary game plan is to turn every blue-pipped noncreature spell into extra Merfolk tokens while deploying tribal lords, unblockable effects, and card draw to build an overwhelming battlefield. It can win either through a giant Banner of Kinship/Coat of Arms alpha strike or by chaining extra turns with Wanderwine Prophets. In the meantime, a dense countermagic package - including five free counterspells - keeps the board clear and protects the critical turn. The commander is best understood as a force multiplier: he makes the deck's instants and sorceries also produce chump-blocking, card-drawing, lord-pumped bodies, but he is not the only token engine in the list.
