Deck overview

This mono-black storm deck converts Gwenom, Remorseless into an accessible Bolas's Citadel in the command zone. The deck replaces traditional lands with modal double-faced cards and zero-mana artifacts, ensuring that Gwenom's attack trigger rarely stalls on land cards. Once Gwenom attacks, every card on top of the library can be cast by paying life instead of mana. Zero-mana artifacts provide storm count and mana acceleration at no life cost, while cards like Aetherflux Reservoir, Bontu's Monument, Diamond Mare, and Demon's Horn quickly generate a net surplus of life. The sequence concludes within the same turn by draining opponents with Ancient Cellarspawn, storming out with Tendrils of Agony, or firing lethal 50-damage bursts from Aetherflux Reservoir.
