Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and edict attrition strategy commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel. The deck aims to deploy resilient, recursive sacrifice fodder such as Reassembling Skeleton, Bloodghast, and Ophiomancer alongside efficient sacrifice outlets and edict creatures like Fleshbag Marauder and Plaguecrafter. Sephiroth provides steady card advantage and incidental life drain on attacks while setting up a game-warping transformation. Resolving four creature death triggers in a single turn transforms him into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, generating an indelible Super Nova emblem that turns every future creature death from any player into direct life drain against opponents. Combined with asymmetric stax pieces like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, mass token generation from Tombstone Stairwell, and heavy mana engines like Cabal Coffers and Warren Soultrader, the deck establishes an oppressive creature lock and grinds the entire table down over two response cycles.
