Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis reanimator and discard-control engine commanded by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The game plan revolves around leveraging symmetric discard triggers to strip opposing resources while pulling ahead through Kefka's multi-card draw ability and powerful payoffs like Waste Not and Bone Miser. A dense package of low-cost tutors and reanimation spells allows the deck to cheat game-ending threats such as Archon of Cruelty, Terror of the Peaks, and Shadowgrange Archfiend onto the battlefield as early as Turns 2 to 4. Backed by free and low-cost interaction like Fierce Guardianship, Deadly Rollick, and Mana Drain, the deck protects its board while systematically locking opponents out of options. Once transformed into Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, the commander turns life loss into continuous card advantage, easily closing the game through evasive combat damage and scaling life drain.
