Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari creature-density ramp deck that uses Witherbloom, the Balancer to convert a wide board into massive spell discounts. Cheap dorks and 1/1 tokens flood the board early, letting the commander come down for far less than its printed cost; afterward, every instant and sorcery in the deck gains the same affinity discount. That turns top-end cards like Awaken the Woods, Avenger of Zendikar, Second Harvest, and Reshape the Earth into explosive development spells. The primary win is a wide creature board finished by Craterhoof Behemoth or Preposterous Proportions, with Mirkwood Bats and Blood Artist providing drain reach. A secondary channel uses Beledros Witherbloom, Wilderness Reclamation, and Circle of Dreams Druid to generate enormous mana for Exsanguinate or Damnable Pact. The deck contains no infinite combos; it wins through redundancy, tutoring, and overwhelming combat.
