Deck overview

This Mardu partner deck is a pillow-fort Curse and Enchantress attrition deck. The command pair is deceptively simple: Vial Smasher the Fierce turns each turn's first spell - ideally a high-mana Curse - into direct damage, while Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist lets you attach all of your Auras to one target at combat, concentrating a stack of player-targeting Curses on a single opponent. The 99 is built around enchantment density and card flow: enchantresses like Mesa Enchantress and Sram, Senior Edificer draw through the deck, while Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, and No Mercy keep the table from attacking. The primary kill is damage multiplication and life-loss doubling - Curse of Bloodletting, Wound Reflection, Grievous Wound, and Curse of Thirst - backed by Sigil of the Empty Throne and Hallowed Haunting tokens. It is a slow, grindy, political deck that wins by outlasting rather than comboing.
