Kefka, Discard Master by DestroyedJack

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis discard-control deck helmed by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The primary strategy is to force opponents to discard cards, generating card advantage and triggering a suite of punishing effects such as Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Waste Not. The deck then closes out the game either through a chain of extra combat steps (e.g., Full Throttle, Fear of Missing Out) or via a combo loop involving Psychosis Crawler and Kefka's back side, which draws into lethal damage whenever an opponent loses life. Reanimation spells like Reanimate and Victimize provide recursion, while the commander's ETB/attack trigger draws cards proportional to the card types discarded. The deck is built around a high density of discard-matters cards, making each opponent's discard a source of value.
