Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Treasure midrange deck helmed by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The plan is to flood the board with Treasure tokens, convert that mana into a critical mass of Dragons and artifact-payoff creatures, and close through combat, ping drains, or a big X-spell. Smaug, Wicked Worm is the primary card-advantage engine: his ETB mints Treasures off opponents' artifacts, and every subsequent spell paid with Treasure draws a card (at 1 life). The 99 backs this up with redundant Treasure makers (Goldspan Dragon, Grim Hireling, Professional Face-Breaker, Xorn), Dragon beaters, and drain pieces (Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, Weftstalker Ardent). Alternate finishes include Revel in Riches, Exsanguinate, and Crackle with Power. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins by value snowball and overwhelming board presence.
