Deck overview

This deck leverages Saruman, the White Hand to convert noncreature spells into a towering, ward-protected Orc Army token. By utilizing an efficient ramp package of ten 2-CMC rocks alongside Sol Ring and Dark Ritual, the deck reliably establishes its commander on Turn 4. From there, it strings together card-draw spells, removal, and burn effects to rapidly accumulate +1/+1 counters on the Army. Finishers like Chandra's Ignition and Soul Immolation weaponize the Army's massive power to clear opposing boards while dealing lethal damage to all opponents simultaneously. Alternatively, evasion enablers such as The Black Gate, Rogue's Passage, and My Precious allow the Army to eliminate players through sequential combat strikes. The deck backs up this strategy with triggered ability doublers like Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality, ensuring explosive power scaling whenever noncreature spells are slung.
