Deck overview

This Boros deck is commanded by Thor Odinson, a 5-mana 4/4 flyer with vigilance and double prowess (+2/+2 per noncreature spell). The strategy revolves around landing Thor on Turn 5 and leveraging a dense suite of cheap combat tricks, double strike granters, and cantrips on Turn 6 to eliminate opponents one by one through explosive commander damage. Supported by equipment packages and spellslinger payoffs like Feather, the Redeemed, Zada, Hedron Grinder, and Monastery Mentor, the deck maintains a steady cadence of aggression. While it packs efficient single-target creature answers and resilient protection spells like Take Up the Shield and Swiftfoot Boots, it operates along a fair combat axis without fast mana acceleration or infinite combos, making it a quintessential proactive mid-power Voltron deck.
